Jaipur

Jaipur Jaipur or the pink city is the capital of the state of Rajasthan. This place is well known for its majestic forts, beautiful palaces and ancient havelis.

Here you can spot tall and tough men with big whiskers wearing a bright pink turban. This capital city of Jaipur was built 273 years ago. Located 262 km by road from the capital of India- Delhi, this city is home to the ancient forts and palaces.

Museums at Jaipur are also popular. There is a Dolls Museum that exhibits many toys. The Jaipur Central Museum displays famous paintings, tribal artifacts, carvings and period costumes. Contemporary paintings and sculptures are displayed at the Juneja Art Gallery and the Modern Art Gallery of Jaipur.
