Day 01 - Arrive Delhi

Highlights of the day: - Arrival in Delhi and traditional welcome

Your tour would kick off with your arrival at the Indira Gandhi International airport at New Delhi. It is regarded among the best airports of India and is a major avenue for entering India. Once you have received your clearance from the customs authorities you would be going to the arrival lounge to meet our representative. You would be able to recognize him as he would be holding a card bearing the group name. Once you have formally interacted with him he would be responsible for your luggage and other properties. You would be going to your hotel in luxury coaches that have air conditioning facilities. Once you arrive at the hotel you would be received in the conventional Indian way that comprises of tikka and aarti. Afterwards you would be provided with non alcoholic beverages. In the meantime your baggage and other goods would be moved to your room. You would also be provided with keys to your room. You can retire for the night to your hotel.

Day 02 - Delhi

Highlights of the day: - You would be taking a rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk and there would be a welcome dinner along with dance and music at the Taj Palace.
After you had your buffet breakfast you would be checking out of your hotel. You would later on get on your coaches and go for a sightseeing tour of Delhi.

Jama Masjid: Jama Masjid is the final architectural piece of art that had been helmed by Shah Jahan. It is located before the Red Fort. It was constructed at a time between 1644 and 1658. It is the largest of its kind in India.

Red Fort (drive past) It is a stupendous fortress and is a couple of kilometers long. At its highest it is 33 meters and its lowest height is 18 meters. It was built using red sandstone by Shah Jahan. However, he could not rule from here as he was betrayed by his son Aurangzeb who held him in captivity at the Agra Fort. Aurangzeb was the only Mughal monarch who administered from the Red Fort.
Afterwards you would be taken on a rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk. You would be able to find out first hand how old Delhi looked like by going through Chandni Chowk.

India Gate (drive past): This arched structure is 42.5 meters high. It is there to the east of Rajpath. It is also known as the Arch of Triumph. The India Gate has inscriptions bearing the names of Indian soldiers who died in the First World War, the Third Anglo Afghan War and the wars at the North West Frontier Province.

Rashtrapati Bhawan (drive past): It is where the Indian President says. The Rashtrapati Bhawan is near the India Gate and is on the Raisini Hill. This building is a combination of Western and Mughal architectural styles and was built in 1929.
Afterwards you would go to an eatery located close by for your lunch. After your lunch is over you would visit the Qutub Minar.

Humayun's Tomb: The tomb of Humayun is among the most complicated buildings that were constructed following the Mughal style of architecture. Hamida Banu Begum, the widow of Humayun was responsible for building this splendid tomb. Its construction started at 1562.

Qutub Minar: This is among the best examples of the Afghani style of architecture. This structure is at a distance of 15 kilometers at the south of New Delhi. This structure was built in order to celebrate the success of the Mohammedan rulers over the final Hindu kings of Delhi. It has five storeys and is 72.5 meters high. Its basic diameter measures 15 meters and at its peak it has a diameter of 2.5 meters.

During the evening you would be going to the Hotel Taj Palace and take your welcome dinner. You would also be treated to music performances by the best disc jockeys in town. All this would be arranged exclusively for you. Afterwards you can retire for the night at your hotel.


Day 03 - Delhi - Agra 203 Kms / 4 Hrs

Highlights of the day: - At the evening you would be treated to a Mughlai dinner that would be accompanied by dance performances.

After you finish your buffet breakfast you would be going to Agra on car. AGRA: Agra is well known all over the world for being the home of Taj Mahal, which is among the Seven Wonders of the World. This age old Mughal city also houses certain other World Heritage sites such as the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, which is located nearby. Taj Mahal has an unparalleled appeal and Agra is among the busiest cities of the world. The heady concoction of both these remarkable locations makes Agra a must visit for every tourist of the world. When you arrive at your hotel in Agra you would be checked in immediately. You would later be eating a Mughlai dinner at the evening. To top it you would also be watching a splendid dance act. You can later on go to rest at your hotel.


Day 04 Agra

After you are done with your buffet breakfast you would go for a sightseeing tour of Agra. This would include the Taj Mahal, tomb of Itmad-Ud-Dullah and the Red Fort.

The Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday) - It is among the most popular and eye catching monuments of the world. This tomb was built in the memory of his deceased wife Mumtaj Mahal by Shah Jahan in 1630. It can be described as poetry in motion and a symbol of eternal love.

Agra Fort: The Agra Fort is also known as the Red Fort. It is a very important structure and can be seen from the Taj Mahal as well as some other areas lying close by. Akbar started building it in 1565 and it was renovated till the time Shah Jahan ruled.
After you have finished seeing the Red Fort you would be going to a nearby restaurant for your lunch. Once you have your lunch you would be visiting the tomb of Itmad-Ud-Dullah.
Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb: The tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah is located on the other bank of Yamuna. It is Mirza Ghias-ud-din Beg's tomb. Noor Jahan, his daughter and Jehangir's wife, built this tomb at a time between 1622 to 1628. It is almost similar to the Taj Mahal.
You would spend the evening as you like. After your dinner you could rest at your hotel for the night.


Day 05 Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur 250 Kms / 5 Hrs

Highlights of the day:- You would be enjoying a royal dinner at the City Palace along with the other members of the royal family of Jaipur.

Once you have finished your buffet breakfast you would check out and go to Jaipur. On the route you could go to Fatehpur Sikri. It is 40 kilometers away from Agra. It is the original city that had been planned as per the Indo-Islamic architectural style. Akbar built this in the 16th century to show his respect for the Sufi saint Sheikh Salim Chisti. Fatehpur Sikri acted as the capital of Akbar for a decade and four years. Once Akbar left this city owing to shortage of water it became a desolate city.
After you have finished visiting all these places you would be going to Jaipur and stop to have your lunch during the course of this journey. Once you come to Jaipur you would be greeted with aarti and tikka in the hotel. During the evening you would be taken for your regal dinner with the king of Jaipur. You might also have the privilege of dining with some other scions of the royal family if they happen to be present there at that point of time. Your procession will feature elephants at the lead with Pachrangas. There would be other animals like camels and horses that would be armed and decked up. There are some other features like the regal flag of the former state of Jaipur, Royal Carriage, Royal Band and some palanquins. There would be folk dancers and some staff bearers as well. At this tour you would be able to see a couple of Silver Gangajalis or Jars. These have been recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records to be the single biggest things made out of silver. You would be treated to a mind blowing program of Rajasthani folk music and dance as per your wishes. There would also be a program of Tabla and Sitar performances when your dinner is being provided to you. You can retire for the night to your hotel.


Day 06 Jaipur

After you had your buffet breakfast you would be going for a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Jaipur. During the morning you would be going to the Amber Fort. You would be riding on an elephant that would take you up the steep ramp. This splendid journey would always stay with you as a cherished experience. It is 11 kilometers away from Jaipur.

Once you have visited the Amer Fort you would be going to a nearby restaurant for lunch. After completing your lunch you would be going to the City Palace, which used to be the residence of the royal family. A certain portion of the City Palace has been changed to a museum. Even now the royal family uses a certain portion of the City Palace.

Jantar Mantar: This was constructed by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1728. It is located in the vicinity of the City Palace. The fact that he built five observatories across India is indicative of the passion he had for the subject of astronomy.

Afterwards you would be driving past the Hawa Mahal: The term Hawa Mahal means Palace of Winds. It is a major landmark of Jaipur. It was created in 1799 by Sawai Partap Singh so that the ladies in the palace could see the processions on the roads. This site would help you take some really good pictures. You could spend the rest of the day as you like and after having your dinner you could retire for the day.


Day 07 Jaipur - Jodhpur 316 Kms / 7 Hrs

Highlights of the day:- During the evening you would be taken for a camel ride. There would be dance and dinner as well.

After you have finished your breakfast you would be going to Jodhpur on car. You would be required to stop for a lunch. After your lunch you would go on with your journey.

Jodhpur: This city borders the Thar Desert. It is the erstwhile capital of the state of Marwar. Rao Jodha who was the head of the Rathore Rajputs found this city in 1459. Jodhpur is well known for its sculptural excellence. This is evident in its palaces, temples, forts and havelis.

When you arrive at Jodhpur you would be checked into your hotel. Afterwards you could go for a tour of the sand dunes on camel. There would be bonfires accompanied by local folk dance and music. You would also be treated to a dinner of grilled food. There would be fireworks as well. Once you complete your dinner you could come back for some rest at your hotel.


Day 08 Jodhpur

After you finish your breakfast you would be going to Jaswant Thada and the Mehrangarh Fort.

Mehrangarh Fort: The Mehrangarh Fort is among the biggest in India. It is 400 feet above Jodhpur. It has very hard walls. There are a number of palaces within its premises that are famous for their big courtyards and complex carvings.

Jaswant Thada: The Jaswant Thada is a significant architectural landmark of Jodhpur. Sardar Singh built it in 1899 using white marble. It was built in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It has been crafted out of delicately carved marble sheets.

You could spend the evening as you see fit. Afterwards you could take your dinner and relax at your hotel.


Day 08 Jodhpur - Udaipur 290 Kms / 6 Hrs

Highlights of the day:- At the evening you would go to a cruise on the Gangaur boat. It would be accompanied by music and cocktail at the Lily Pond.

Udaipur: It is situated in Rajasthan and its name stands for City of Sunrise. There are plenty of things you could see at Udaipur such as marble palaces, gardens, lakes and ancient temples. It is precisely for this reason that Udaipur is also known as City of Lakes and Palaces.

After you have finished your breakfast you would be taken to the Jain temples at Ranakpur while going to Udaipur. When you arrive at your destination you would be checking into a hotel. This event would provide you with the opportunity to experience a regal lifestyle. You would be given a royal welcome at the Gangaur boat. You can have a good time with the cocktails. Afterwards you would be stopping at the Lily Pond for a sitar performance along with fireworks and dance. You would be having dinner after which you may retire for the night.


Day 09 Udaipur

Highlights of the day:- At the evening you would go for a Baradari dinner.

After you have completed your breakfast you would be going out for a half day long tour of Udaipur. You would be visiting the Jagdish Temple: This temple was constructed by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651. It is at a central location and lies north of the city palace. Vishnu is the presiding deity of this temple. There is a shrine that has a image of Vishnu carved out of black stone. In this shrine he has been portrayed as Jagannath or the lord of the universe.

City palace & Museums: These imposing buildings are present at the eastern bank of Lake Pichola. Their construction started from 1559 onwards. From the balconies of the City Palace you would get to see the Jag Niwas or the Lake Palace and the Jag Mandir. The Government Pratap Museum has age old inscriptions and sculptures. It also has the age old paintings from Mewar. After you would go to a nearby restaurant for having your lunch. You would go to the Saheliyon ki Bari after completing your lunch.

Saheliyon ki Bari: This is located in the northern reaches of the city. It is a tiny and ornate garden that has fountains, marble elephants, kiosks and pools filled with lotuses.

Afterwards in the evening you could enjoy a traditional Baradari dinner. It is a major event and it would be given a rustic look with bright torches and lamps made out of earth. You would be able to enjoy a royal experience with a platter consisting of the best Rajasthani food. You would also get to see some good dance performances.


Day 10 Udaipur - Delhi Flight

Highlights of the day:- You would be treated a farewell dinner along with cocktails.

After eating your breakfast you would be going to the vibrant market at Udaipur. You would have your lunch at a nearby restaurant. Having completed your lunch you would be going the airport for your flight to Delhi. When you come to Delhi you would be going to a restaurant nearby to get your farewell dinner that would be accompanied by music and cocktails. After this dinner gets over you would be going to the international airport for taking the flight to your immediate destination.
