Mr. Jatinder Taneja's statement was published in Trav Talk in September 2020: To keep domestic business going, to increase and to keep the traveller's trust intact, it is very important that ‘no quarantine’ be enforced. It should be publicised very well through all media channels so that everyone is aware of it if they are travelling within India. The traveller should carry the COVID-negative test certificate while travelling and that should be a passport to travel within India.
Jatinder Taneja, Vice Chairman, PATA India, says Indian tourism and travel sector is on a fast moving and growth-oriented trajectory. India's investments in building a strong MICE platform and establishing the country as the global centre for yoga and Ayurveda wellness has added new dimensions and offerings to enhance the uniqueness of Incredible India. This was said for an article published in BW Hotelier magazine of July 2023 edition.
An article of Mr. Jatinder Taneja was published in the magazine Trav Talk in Jul 2020 on the topic - Is tourism really an MSME?. Mr. Taneja expressed that "There is a confusion about ‘real’ and other benefits under the proposed guidelines. For instance, when banks are approached, they are unable to provide us with any help. Either understanding of the guidelines is absent on their part as well, or they are not coming forward. In both cases, the situation is not helping anyone. Also, for every loan being offered by the government, the high interest is being borne by the industry only. The conditions are such that the payment of interests would not prove to be a big help for anyone. What would have helped lift the industry at present would have been interest- free loans for a certain period or highly subsidised ones."

E-articles of Mr. Jatinder Taneja were published in Trav Talk magazine on these two topics:- On Cloud-9 after visa opening Mr. Taneja stated that “the inbound tour operators are rejoicing after the Ministry of Home Affairs announced the re-opening of e-Tourist visa for foreigners and are ready to welcome them with all protocols in place. We speak to six experts who share their views on the industry needs to get ready for this influx and the future of foreign arrivals. This step will help drive in- bound tourism in the country. I would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Arvind Singh, Secretary, MOT and Chairman PATA India chapter, for coordinating with relevant ministries to make this possible. The timing of the decision is ideal as vaccination rate in the country is high and we are observing a steady drop in cases. These facts induce a sense of security in travellers planning to revisit or explore India. This will help us revive tourism.” 2021 was full of optimism for us While 2021 displayed some hope for revival, inbound tourism has been impacted the most. However, we did welcome our first client from Spain in November. Despite the good movement in domestic business, travellers preferred to make bookings directly. One of the major developments of 2021 was the finalisation of COVID protocols by the MHA. Also, India has started granting tourist e-visas to most countries. The long-pending SEIS demand of the travel trade was finally met, and that was a big relief to the industry. The boost we were prepared for, has been de- railed again by the new Omicron variant. With new restrictions in place, international business that wa
