Travel to Bangalore is really promising and packed with a wholesome range of places to visit and lot of activities to do. Officially known as Bengalooru, it is considered to be the main IT hub of the country. Crowned with many titles like Pensioners’ Paradise, Pub City, Garden City, Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore remains one of the most liberal and forward city in India. Tracing its history back to the 9th century, this capital city of Karnataka is a nice place to visit. Home to around 7 million people, this big metropolis is blessed with a comparatively mild climate throughout the year unlike most other tourist cities in India. As you venture to Bangalore, you will realize that the city has a well developed infrastructure which allows total comfort to the visitors.

Sports
Bangalore’s pleasant climate makes it a suitable place for a variety of outdoor sports. Cricket is by far the most popular sport in Bangalore. Bangalore has many parks and gardens which provide excellent pitches for an impromptu game of cricket. A significant number of national cricketers have come from Bangalore, including former captains Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble. Some of the other notable players from the city who have represented India include Gundappa Vishwanath, Syed Kirmani, E. A. S. Prasanna, B. S. Chandrasekhar, Roger Binny, Venkatesh Prasad, Sunil Joshi, Robin Uthappa and Vinay Kumar. Bangalore’s international cricket stadium is the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 55,000 and has hosted matches during the 1987 Cricket World Cup, 1996 Cricket World Cup and the 2011 Cricket World Cup. The Chinnaswamy Stadium is also the home of India’s National Cricket Academy.

Shopping
Banglore offers a delightful shopping experience to all with its wide variety of shopping delights. There are so many places that provide exquisite items of one’s choice. Both traditional and modern artifacts are easily available in this metro. Handicrafts, which boast of the ethnicity of the city are a hot favourite among visitors. For sandalwood products the Kaveri Emporium on the edge of the bustling Brigade road is your best bet. Silk saris are another popular buy in the region famed for its silk weaving, from the traditional banarasi silk, to the native Mysore silk saree, traditional kantha embroidery; there is something available to match everyone’s choice.


Bangalore Palace
Bangalore Palace, a palace located in Bangalore, India, was built by Rev. Garrett, who was the first Principal of the Central High School in Bangalore, now known as Central College.

HAL Aerospace Museum
HAL Aerospace Museum is India’s first aerospace museum located at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited premises, in Bangalore. Established in 2001, the Museum is part of the HAL Heritage Centre and Aero Space Museum, and showcases the growth of the Indian aviation industry and HAL for six decades. The museum houses displays of various aircraft and helicopters, Aircraft engine models, Flight simulators, a mock Air Traffic Control Tower and exhibit of Indian aviation history. The Museum is maintained by HAL (one of Asia’s largest Aerospace companies).

Vidhana Soudha
The Vidhana Soudha, located in Bengaluru (Bangalore), is the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka. It is an imposing building, constructed in a style sometimes described as Mysore Neo-Dravidian, and incorporates elements of Indo-Saracenic and Dravidian styles. The construction was completed in 1956.
